Center for Biological Diversity Action Fund Endorses Maine Environmental Champions
AUGUSTA, Maine— The Center for Biological Diversity Action Fund is endorsing environmental progressives ahead of Maine’s June primary election. These candidates for state and national offices have demonstrated a strong commitment to protecting Maine’s environment, wildlife and vibrant communities.
“Shenna Bellows will be an outstanding governor, and we’re proud to endorse her and these other environmental leaders. Now more than ever, we need to elect environmental champions who aren’t afraid to stand up to powerful special interests to protect Maine’s natural heritage,” said Stephanie Kurose, Northeast political director at the Center for Biological Diversity Action Fund. “At a time when pollution, corporate influence and mounting pressures are putting Maine’s lands, waters and wildlife at risk, these leaders are ready to take decisive action to protect the state’s future.”
